Generic Ampicillin is a generic term for the brand name original prescribed antibiotic drug Omnipen, Principen or Totacillin. Generic Ampicillin is part of the penicillin class of medications and are an effective antibiotic. Generic Ampicillin is taken as a remedy for killing off bacteria and as a treatment for many infections including bladder infections, ear infections, tonsillitis, intestinal infections like food poisoning, strep throat, quinsy, and many more. Generic Ampicillin is also a formidable treatment for other off label uses not mentioned here but could be prescribed for use by your Physician.

Generic Ampicillin is part of the penicillin family of antibiotics and is different from penicillin only because of an existing amino group present in its makeup. This amino group aids the medication in breaching the external membrane of gram-negative bacteria. Generic Ampicillin also acts as an enzyme inhibitor blocking the enzyme that bacteria require to develop the walls of their cells, it effectively thwarts the third stage of cell wall development leading to the death and destruction of the bacteria.
Dawkowanie
Take Ampicillin by mouth at least one-half hour before or 2 hours after eating. Take Ampicillin with a full glass of water (8 oz/240 mL). Take Ampicillin on a regular schedule to get the most benefit from it
Opuszczona dawka
If a dose of Generic Ampicillin is missed or forgotten, take your dose as soon as you remember it. If you realize it close to your next dosage, just take your next pill and never double up your medication unless this is approved by your physician.
